Women have their beauty routine down, but some men need a little more help. While you can never outshine the bride, here are some tips to make sure you are still pristine on the big day!
HAIRCUT
Some men have a tried and true haircut routine, but if you don't, figure out with your partner which day after a haircut looks best in order to schedule yours perfectly. For some men, it's the first day of the haircut, for others it's a few days after to let the hair grow out to the perfect length. And don't forget to get your mustache and beard lined up as well! Also be sure that if you're wanting to try a new hairstyle to make sure to test it out at least a month before the wedding so you have time to regrow and change it up if you don't like the results.
TRIM EYEBROWS
Whether it's pluck, thread, or wax, make sure to do it at least a day before the wedding so your face isn't red the day-of. If it'll be your first time trying it, make sure to test it out first at least a month in advance to make sure you like the results.
TRIM EAR AND NOSE HAIRS
Small trimming scissors the day before usually do the trick, but you may want to try waxing for the best result.
USE ALUMINUM-FREE DEODORANT
Aluminum is the ingredient in deodorant that combines with sweat to create those nasty yellow stains under the arms on clothing so definitely opt for an aluminum-free deodorant.
START A TEETH-WHITENING REGIMEN
Begin this process at least a month before the wedding. Whether it's whitening strips or a fancy UV system, you'll definitely want to make sure you have your whitest whites the day of the wedding.
START A FACE CLEANSING REGIMEN
If you already have one, be sure to commit to it without fail to make sure you have zero breakouts. If you don't have one, do some research or see a dermatologist or esthetician to choose the right one for you. Be sure to start the new regimen months before the wedding to make sure you don't have any allergic reactions and it gives you the best results for perfect skin.
TRIM NAILS
Most men don't think to trim their nails until they're scratching up themselves or their partner, so make sure to remember to trim your nails the day before the wedding.
MANAGE YOUR WEIGHT
Make sure you are at your ideal weight by the time of your suit fitting and be sure to stay at that weight. Your goal weight deadline is not the wedding date, it's the suit fitting date. Otherwise, you'll end up paying for two suits.
